Thread Lifting

Beauty Dream offers a fantastic thread lift treatment at our clinic in east London. A full consultation is carried prior to treatment to make sure you’re suitable for thread lift treatment and we’re able to deliver the results you’re looking for.

What Is A Thread Lift?

Thread lifting is quick, effective and mostly pain-free. The procedure takes between 30 and 45 minutes, and we apply local lidocaine to the treated areas to ensure that you’re as relaxed and comfortable as possible during the treatment but some patients will find this procedure painful and some tenderness after the anaesthetic has worn off is to be expected.

All make-up will need to be removed prior to treatment, so please come ‘fresh faced’ if possible.

The threads remain in place underneath your skin, but, don’t worry, the sutures are biodegradable which means they naturally break down over time, just like dissolvable stitches.

Thread lifts generally last between 12 and 18 months. However, this is dependant upon the individual patient and their age, lifestyle, skin type and how quickly their body breaks down the sutures.

The thread lifting procedure itself delivers immediate results. Once the PDO threads are correctly placed, tightened and secured underneath your skin, your skin will appear tighter, smoother and lifted straight away.

A procedure that takes less than an hour can give you results that last for up to a year and a half.

There may be a little tenderness, swelling and bruising around the treated areas, but this is usually very mild and subsides within a day or two. There is little to no downtime involved, meaning you can get straight back to work and your daily activities after the treatment is finished.

Once everything has settled down, you can expect to see final results in 10 to 14 days.

What can I expect after the Tread lifting treatment?

One of the best things about thread lifting is how they deliver ongoing results long after you leave the clinic. When the threads are placed underneath your skin, the body views it as an “injury,” kickstarting its natural healing process.

The healing process involves the body restarting its production of collagen and directing large amounts of it to the treated areas. Infusing your skin with collagen combats the ageing process by hydrating, thickening and strengthening your skin. In other words, your skin is restoring and rejuvenating itself long after you’ve done the treatment.

After the sutures fully dissolve, you can expect to see results for another 6 months on average until the body’s production of collagen slows down.

Due to the safe and non-invasive nature of thread lifts, repeated treatments can be carried out if necessary.
