Chemical peeling based on pyruvic acid.
Pyruvic acid: alpha-keto acid with keratolytic, antibacterial and sebrostatic properties. High permeability and small molecular size, provide deep transdermal penetration. Pyruvic acid can be transformed into lactic acid (AHA), which leads to progressive chemical exfoliation, without causing dehydration of the skin. This feature of pyruvic acid improves the homogenization of the papillary dermis, stimulates syntech collagen, elastin and glycoproteins.
Lactic acid: keratolytic alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), which reduces the thickness of the stratum corneum, stimulates the thickening of the epidermis and dermis. Increases the concentration of hyaluronic acid in the extracellular matrix, providing hydration and strengthening of the skin.
